The best thing about them is their wide range of tools for debt collection. To get optimal results, they can track down debtors, report non-payers to credit bureaus, and even make personal visits to encourage payment.

If all else fails, they can also take legal action by bringing your case to court.

It’s also a good thing that they have a “no win, no fee” policy, meaning you only pay if they successfully recover your debt. Plus, there are no hidden fees or memberships to worry about.

The only thing I dislike is that they have a minimum threshold for debts ($500) they can collect.

With 23 years of experience in the industry, Marshall Freeman is a veteran in providing debt collection services across Australia. They specialise in both personal and commercial debt collection.

One thing I really like about this agency is its unique two-step slow-payer system that allows businesses to collect debts themselves using Marshall Freeman’s letterhead and reminder stickers. This is totally free if you’ve successfully collected debts without their direct involvement.

If their direct assistance is necessary, they won’t charge any commission fees until they’ve successfully collected the debts. However, they’ll still charge an $85 monthly membership fee.

It’s also worth mentioning that they have an online client portal where you can track their progress in collecting debts. You can learn more by contacting them for a free initial consultation.

Unfortunately, some people had bad experiences with them, as it sometimes took them weeks to collect debts.

CCSG Collect is an excellent choice for businesses that are owed large amounts by another business or a client. A subsidiary of the CCSG Group of Companies since 2005, they specialise in business debt collection for medium-sized businesses and large corporate organisations.

While I’m unable to enjoy their services as an individual, I’m still impressed with the way they do business. Each client gets a dedicated account manager who will help them devise a solid strategy on how to collect their debts efficiently.

Your manager can even assist with legal and investigation matters should the debtor choose to play hardball with your money.

I also love that they don’t charge any fees until they’ve successfully recovered your money. They also have no hidden or additional fees.

Sadly, they only assist in collecting debts that are valued at $1,500 and above.

Do you think your debtor has skipped town? First International Debt Collection might be able to help you! Operating since 2008, they offer services like recovering debts from rental properties, handling court actions, and tracking down debtors.

What makes them stand out is their global reach. They can chase down debts anywhere in the world! They also have access to specialised tenancy databases, which helps them recover rental debts more efficiently.

Thankfully, they have a “no collection, no fee” policy, so you won’t have to pay them until they actually retrieve your money. It’s also good that they also don’t have those annoying membership fees, which can add up costs pretty fast.

However, it should be noted that pursuing debt outside of the country can be a lengthy process altogether. It might take them weeks before they can deliver substantial results.

Another debt collection agency I’m particularly interested in is Get Paid Debt Collection, a subsidiary of the Perth law firm Curael Law. They have almost 40 years of experience in the industry assisting clients recover their money via legal means.

That includes sending legal demand letters, negotiating payment plans, and even taking court action if needed. What separates them from the competition is that they don’t charge commissions; instead, they have fixed upfront fees.

That’s a huge plus for me, as it ensures I can keep all of the money I was owed. They also offer an online portal where clients can manage their cases and track payments.

The only major issue I have with them is their inflexibility, as they’re mostly limited to relying on legal actions to get the debtor to comply. Things could get messy and expensive should the issue be taken to court.
