Pros
- Most repairs completed in 24 hours
- Great customer service
- Sends detailed invoices
- Keeps customers updated
- Competitive rates
Cons
- Possible delays due to parts being delivered
- Doesn’t repair Macs
Computer Mechanics has one of the best records when it comes to customer service, and it isn’t just because they can finish most repairs in under 24 hours.
Their customer service is exemplary, and their technicians are highly responsive. They take the time to explain your computer’s diagnosis and how they’ll go about repairing it, and they will give you an estimate as to when they’ll be done.
As we said, they usually complete most repairs in under 24 hours, but this won’t be the case if parts are needed for your computer. It may take a couple of weeks to get your device back, especially if the parts are shipped from abroad.
You will be made aware of the delivery time, and should there be any delays, they’re quick to keep you updated. They repair both hardware and software, and it’s the latter that usually takes a shorter time.
If you’re coming in to get your laptop repaired, they work with almost all laptop brands like Acer, ASUS, Toshiba, HP, and much more. The important factor is that your computer runs Windows because they currently do not service Macs.
However, if it is your PC that needs repair, we suggest that you give them a call first before you end up bringing your whole rig.
They’ll assist you even before you avail of their services, which shows us the level of dedication they have towards customer service.

Pros
- Wide range of services
- Jobs can be completed the same day
- Prompt service
- Has a “no fix, no fee” policy
- Has a 1-month warranty
Cons
- Minor instances of miscommunications with customers
- Can be expensive
The edge Master Computer has over its competitors is their wide range of service. They can repair both Windows and Mac devices, but they also repair other devices such as tablets and smartphones.
What we—and their customers—appreciate most about them is their “no fix, no fee” policy, and if you’ve paid for repairs they were unable to deliver on, they will issue a full refund.
They want to make the whole process convenient for you and can have someone pick up and return your laptop to your home with no extra charge. All of their repairs also come with a one-month warranty should anything go wrong.
Additionally, same day-service is available, but this will be dependent on the kind of repair your device will need.
Their customer service is prompt in responding to customer calls and does a good job in keeping you updated of the progress of your device’s repair.
However, there was one instance of miscommunication between the technician and a customer over the repair of the device, which unfortunately left the customer unsatisfied with Master Computer’s service.
We aren’t too worried about this, as this was an isolated incident, and they have an excellent record in customer service otherwise.
But they do tend to lean towards the expensive side, so we urge you to get a quote from them before deciding to get your device repaired by them.

Pros
- Can do same-day service
- Good prices
- Wide range of services
- Sells computer accessories
Cons
- Delays on repairs
- Multiple complaints on customer service
Neo Computer is an all-around shop when it comes to computer repair. Outside of computer repair for both Mac and Windows devices, they also sell accessories for your mobile phone or computer.
Not only that, but they’re also an internet café, which means you can use their own computers while you wait for your device to be repaired.
They can finish services in one day, but this will depend on the repair you’ll need because we’ve heard multiple complaints from customers reporting their devices were delayed beyond the agreed upon time.
There were also a few customers reporting that the technicians inflicted more damage on their device compared to when they first brought it in. What made it worse was they received no proper compensation or refunds.
These are worrying complaints, and we’ve noticed that this is more common towards more complicated repairs especially when hardware is involved.
Thus, we can only recommend them for small or easy repairs, especially if it’s regarding software or security issues.
What keeps customers coming back are their low prices, and it’s worth it for minor repairs, but if it’s a more serious issue, we don’t think the low prices are worth the risk of possible further damage to your device or of failed repair.
4. Nerds 2 You

Pros
- Charges by the hour
- Laptop and desktops have a 12-month warranty
- Mobile service
- Highly responsive
- Transparent quotes
Cons
- Won’t repair motherboards
- No screen repair for Apple MacBooks
- Has minimum 1-hour charge
Nerds 2 You gets its name from how their service operates: their technicians come to you, instead of you having to visit them. Don’t worry. Fees are already inclusive of their travel expenses.
They’re a great option if what you’re looking for is convenience. Their lines are always open, and someone is ready to pick up your call and get a technician dispatched to you in no time.
Once you call them, we encourage you to describe to them the problems you’re having with your device because while they can conduct most repairs, they cannot repair motherboards or do screen replacements for Apple MacBooks.
You should also be aware that they have a minimum charge that’s equal to one hour of service, and the rate will vary depending on your location and problem. They also charge by the hour, but some services have flat fees that will make it cheaper.
Thus, if your problem can be solved through remote support, we urge you to take this option instead, as it will save you money.
They do price a little more than other businesses, but this is understandable considering the convenience and the travel fees.
For the quality of service they provide, we believe they’re worth the price, but we still encourage you to ask for a rough estimate before you avail of their services.

Pros
- Has remote services
- Can do mobile services
- Timely work
- Great customer service
- Good prices
Cons
- 1-man team
- Delays are possible when busy
Perth Computer Help is owned and run by one person, Layne. He’s been in the business for almost 20 years now and has built a good customer base.
He can repair almost anything, from PCs to laptops—both Windows and Mac—and even gaming consoles! That’s definitely an edge over his competitors, since gaming console repair isn’t easy to find.
He does most of the work from his location, but it is possible for him to travel to your address and provide on-site services—for an extra price, of course. His prices are pretty competitive, and we think it’s worth the drive to his location.
He’s timely in his work, and most simple repairs can be completed in the same day. If he requires more time, he has a good idea of how long it will take him to complete the job and almost never misses his own deadline.
As we’ve mentioned, he is a one-man team, so he is the only one conducting the repairs. This does lead to better customer relationships, but it can also mean some delays if he has a lot of ongoing job orders.
He does, however, give each of his customers a time estimate before he commences repair services, but from our research, he never takes longer than a week to get a job done.
He will understand if you need your computer back right away—just be sure to let him know.
