If you prefer going for a non-invasive treatment, then DermAesthetics might be what you’re looking for. It was established in 2017 by Dr. Ehsan Jadoon, a plastic surgeon who has been performing gynecomastia surgeries since 2011.

What’s interesting here is that Dr. Ehsan doesn’t actually make incisions for the treatments. This non-surgical gynecomastia technique uses a combination of radiofrequency energy and vibrational gland destruction to reduce the fatty and fibrous tissue in your chest.

The procedure only requires the administration of local anaesthesia and can be completed in under 60 minutes. It costs $4,900 all-in, without any hidden fees.

Unfortunately, this procedure isn’t applicable to everyone and may not be that effective in severe cases.

Dr. Lewis Blennerhassett is a top-notch plastic surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He’s well known for his diverse range of treatments, like facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, and gynecomastia surgery.

When performing gynecomastia surgeries, Dr. Lewis primarily relies on liposuction and open surgery to break down and remove the abnormal breast tissue. He uses advanced treatments, like ultrasonic liposuction, to increase the effectiveness of his treatments.

Aside from his meticulous approach, another thing I appreciate about Dr. Lewis is that his post-op aftercare service is already covered by the surgical fee. You won’t have to pay another cent for things like suture removal and wound redressing.

The only thing I dislike about his treatment is its long recovery time. His patients usually need to rest for up to three weeks, which can be an issue for most people.

With five locations in Perth, Absolute Cosmetic is one of the more accessible clinics I’ve included on this list. They’ve over 20 years of experience providing various cosmetic treatments, including gynecomastia surgery.

The way they do their gynecomastia surgeries is pretty straightforward. They primarily rely on advanced techniques like Vaser Pro Liposuction to eliminate unwanted chest fat. They also use J Plasma Renuvion Skin Tightening to ensure the patient will have a natural-looking chest area after the removal of excess fat.

Since this surgery doesn’t require many incisions, you can recover from your treatment within 5–7 days. 

Unfortunately, this treatment costs $6,600, which is quite pricey. It might be wise to use one of Absolute Cosmetic’s financing and payment plans.

Western Australian Plastic Surgery Centre is a great clinic for those who are extremely critical when it comes to their plastic surgeon’s credentials. 

Founded in 2008, all of their surgeons are recognised for being members of the Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). This is an extremely special distinction, as it’s only awarded to those who have completed a minimum of 12 years of medical and surgical education. 

For gynecomastia surgeries, they usually perform them in either St. John of God Hospital in Subiaco or St. John of God Wexford Medical Centre in Murdoch. Both of these hospitals are well-known for their state-of-the-art facilities.

Their plastic surgeons typically use liposuction and open surgery to remove all the excess fat in the chest area. Unfortunately, they might require you to rest for up to six weeks if the surgery done to you is quite extensive.

Another highly experienced specialist plastic surgeon worth checking out is Dr. Mark Lee. He has more than two decades of experience and was a member of the governing council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2012.

His experience was quite evident to me when I looked into his gynecomastia treatments. He uses advanced equipment and can offer three distinct ways to treat gynecomastia: ultrasonic liposuction, short scar direct excision, and skin reduction.

I also appreciate that he doesn’t require a doctor’s referral to see new patients. However, he still recommends that you get one so that you can get a Medicare rebate from your initial consultation fee.

Sadly, it’s a bit hard to book an appointment with him since he tends to get fully booked quickly. You might need to wait for up to two weeks before he can see you.
