Kicking things off with Nerds 2 You is just right. After all, they’ve been my staple every time my laptop or desktop computer goes cuckoo.

One thing they do well is turnaround time. If no parts are needed, the fix is usually wrapped up in hours or 3 days max. If orders are required, it’s typically capped at 3 weeks—pretty standard these days.

Jamie and his team offer a full-service, too. Aside from actual repairs, you get proper consults and post-fix advice, mostly about problem prevention.

The true bonus is that you still get your money’s worth if they finish in less than an hour. You see, there’s a minimum 1-hour charge, and if there’s spare time, Nerds 2 You uses it for some extras, like clean-ups.

Rates can be too pricey, though, so consider your budget. The shop is also shut on weekends, though you can pay extra for mobile visits.

Most owners looking for repairs want a shop with experience, and the 1997-founded Computer Mechanics fits the bill.

Speed-wise, they’re solid. As long as you’re not waiting for parts, most fixes are turned around in 24 hours.

Their brand coverage is another win, as almost every major laptop brand is serviced. The shop even offers repairs for old Compaq laptops!

However, the pricing is a bummer. Standard fees are higher than Perth’s rates, plus you have to pay for services like diagnostics.

Communication needs some work, too. We heard some clients didn’t get updates as often as they’d like.

On the upside, quotes are reliable and quickly given, so you can budget without worrying about surprise fees.

Both software and hardware fixes are also covered, with 10+ services provided.

What’s more, they have a positive record with screen repairs, which rookie shops typically stuff up.

Gold PC Services is one of those shops that work for businesses big and small.

They’re also a full-service firm—diagnosis, repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and even post-fix support are all provided.

What’s even better is that they don’t charge a fortune.  Patrons reckon the usual prices aren’t overblown—though a few think that the Windows installation fee could come in cheaper.

No gripes about the staff, though. They’re warm and don’t do hard-sell antics; if your motherboard is beyond repair, they’ll be honest about it, saving you cash.

MacBook owners are in good hands, too. Gold PC has a glowing rep when it comes to repairing this brand, correcting major issues like screen, battery, and speed problems.

Just plan ahead, as the shop isn’t open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Geeks Callout has some perks competitors rarely have. For starters, they have a no-fix, no-fee system, so you don’t have to pay a cent if their technicians flop.

The 24/7 and public holiday availability is also a welcome feature. That’s a clear perk since the other shops here only operate from Monday to Friday.

Plus, they collect and return devices for free, provided you’re in Perth. Don’t forget to ring their digits to confirm, though, as the time frame switches up.

As for the pricing, the fees are on the fair side, especially if you take into account the speed at which they work. Fixes are normally completed within minutes or a day, unless orders are needed.

That said, there are a couple of things to work on. For example, they’re slow to respond to complaints, and a few customers reported getting their laptops back with fingerprints.
