Nothing beats local produce at the best Sunday markets in Perth
There are markets, and there are Perth Sunday markets. Homemade crafts? Yep. Fresh organic veggies? You bet. A chance to kick back with your furry friend while watching the world go by? Absolutely.
It all gets even better when you roll up to our favourites, like Canning Vale Markets and All Things Vintage. Lucky for you, they’re all here, along with some tips to make your day as chill as a person floating on a lazy river.
Vic Park Market
From vicparkmarket
Address: John MacMillan Park, Kent St, East Victoria Park
Contact Details: +61 403 121 543
Operating Hours: Sun – 8 am to 12 pm
Website
Our haul from Vic Park Market was a rainbow of fresh apples, flowers, and crafty bits like hand-painted coasters. The prices were decent and the quality was first-class, so naturally, we went all in.
Even our kids left raving about the experience, which didn’t shock us since they had the bouncy castle and face-painting stalls. And of course, they enjoyed the ‘petting farm’ with all sorts of doggos!
Tip: Don’t forget your pups. Vic Park Market doesn’t just boast a petting farm; it’s dog-friendly, too.
Canning Vale Markets
From canningvaleweekendmarkets
Address: Market City, U7/280 Bannister Rd, Canning Vale

Operating Hours:
- Sat – 6 am to 10 am
- Sun – 7 am to 1 pm
The 220-stall-strong Canning Vale Market ticks all the boxes for a Sunday spree. From second-hand gems and homewares to fresh produce and quirky crafts, it has the lot—and at reasonable prices!
Rain or shine, you can shop here. The food trucks are diverse, too—curry in one corner, gourmet hotdogs in the next, and a cake stop to round things off.
Tip: Bring cash. Traders here don’t typically take cards.
Palmyra Western Farmers Market
From palmyrafarmersmarket
Address: Palmyra Primary School, 60 McKimmie Rd, Palmyra
Contact Details: +61 415 649 265
Operating Hours: Sun – 8 am to 12 pm
Facebook
Palmyra Western Farmers Market is as close to paddock-to-plate as it gets. It’s a ‘growers market,’ so you’ll buy your seafood, honey, or veggies straight from the hands that grew or caught them.
What’s more, it’s a foodie’s market. Kiddos can have Dutch pancakes or scrolls, while you can tuck into a breakfast burger with a side of fair-trade coffee or freshly-pressed juice!
Tip: Traders change every week. Their Instagram is a great way to see who’s on.
Kalamunda Farmers Market
From kalamundafarmersmarket
Address: Central Court, Nestobrae La, Kalamunda
Contact Details: +61 437 632 126
Operating Hours: Sun – 8 am to 2 pm
Website
The 150-stall Kalamunda Farmers Market went above and beyond the basics of meat, veg, and seafood. We bagged some sourdough with a tangy twist and goat’s milk soaps that made the house smell lush.
Our kids had a ball, too, thanks to the bouncy castle and designated play area that kept them busy, and most importantly, happy. The market’s food had the same effect, especially the Australian pretzels!
Tip: You can park at Kalamunda Central. There are about 386 spaces there.
Mundaring Sunday Markets
From mundaringgardenfarmersmarket
Address: Sculpture Park, 13 Nichol St, Mundaring
Operating Hours: Second Sunday of each month – 8 am to 12 pm
Website
Boasting up to 100 stalls, the Mundaring Sunday Markets offer more than your average haul. Sure, there’s top-notch fruit, veg, and meat, but it’s the extras—candles, books, and shiny trinkets—that make it variety central.
Keeping the kiddos entertained is a breeze too, as there’s a massive playground nearby. Throw in face painting and pony rides, and you have a Sunday market the tots will love.
Tip: Opening dates and times aren’t set in stone, so head to their Insta for announcements.
Perth Upmarket
From perthupmarket
Address: The University of Western Australia, 35 Stirling Hwy, Crawley
Contact Details: +61 432 897 516
Operating Hours: Sun – 10 am to 4 pm
Website
Handcrafted gems are what the quarterly Perth Upmarket nails best. With over 200 stalls, you’ll find everything from boutique threads to wall art and homewares—so pack a massive tote bag or backpack.
Make sure to bring the littlies, as they’ll most likely love the dried lollies, especially Puffi’s saltwater taffy. If that’s not their jam, they can go hard on homemade macarons, which several stalls offer here.
Tip: Check the website if you’re dreaming to join their events or become a retailer.
Freo Farmers Market
From freofarmersmarket
Address: Bruce Lee Oval, Caesar St, Beaconsfield
Contact Details: +61 404 591 288
Operating Hours: Sun – 8 am to 12 pm
Website
The Freo Farmers Market isn’t just plastic-free; it’s as laid-back and community-driven as they come. Stalls are run by WA farmers and artisans, which means you’ll be picking up top-shelf meat, seafood, and even art while supporting the local folk.
Your tiny ones aren’t left out either. They can join painting lessons with Ariane’s Earth, get painted by local icon Fairy Sandie Friendly Art, or get their hands dirty in Farmer Damian’s workshops.
Tip: Live music often plays from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Swing by during this period for a livelier experience.
Stirling Farmers Market
From stirlingfarmersmarket
Address: City of Stirling, Cedric St
Contact Details: +61 468 469 749
Operating Hours: Sun – 7:30 am to 11:30 am
Website
Stirling Farmers Market is where we head for a good bargain on gourmet handmade pasta and Shire of Gingin olive oil. It’s also one of the team’s go-to spots for taking our pups on a walk!
We love the variety, too, with fresh vine-ripened cherry tomatoes and baguettes on offer. What truly sets the market apart from others, though, are the unique finds like Perfect Poultry’s ‘Churkney,’ a massive free-range chicken!
Tip: Arrive early or near closing time for a more laid-back atmosphere, as this place tends to get busy.
All Things Vintage Markets WA
From allthingsvintagemarketswa

Operating Hours: Wed to Sun – 10 am to 4 pm
Facebook
As the name gives away, All Things Vintage Markets is teeming with retro treasures. Think ceramics, comics, toys, and threads that are still in fine fettle.
What might catch you off guard, though, is the abundance of kid-centric activities like a good old-fashioned sack race. Ice cream and coffee are in the mix, too!
Tip: While there’s no official announcement, make no mistake: dogs aren’t allowed here. Leave them at home for this market, or you’ll be turned away.
Swan Settlers Market

Contact Details: +61 456 821 133
Operating Hours: Sat to Sun – 8 am to 5 pm

We never sweat it at Swan Settlers Market. With aircon, stacks of parking, and an outdoor playground for the mini-mes, it has everything our family needs, minus the hassle.
In addition, it has a great balance of bric-a-brac items and produce, both local and international. Grub is another strong point, in particular, Gryphon Smokehouse’s award-winning American BBQ!
Tip: They’re big on hosting events here, so take a look at the schedule and pick the one you’re most interested in.
Wanneroo Markets
From wanneroomarkets
Address: 33 Prindiville Dr, Wangara
Contact Details: +61 8 9409 8397
Operating Hours: Fri to Sun – 9 am to 5 pm
Website
Our latest retail therapy at Wanneroo Markets gave us an idea of why it’s still going strong since 1980. The undercover setup kept us from sizzling, and the freshness of the flowers, fruits, and herbs was undeniable.
Kiddo entertainment is a bit light, though, unless yours is mad about vintage toys or dreamcatchers. Luckily, our kids had no complaints. Those hot dogs, kebabs, and freeze-dried treats were right up their alley.
Tip: You can hire spaces here for your private function. Call the number above for the details.
Markets by the Sea
From marketsbythesea
Address: North Shore Community Hub, 19 Henderson Dr, Kallaroo
Operating Hours: Sun – 10 am to 3 pm
Website
Crowned one of Perth’s Best Markets in 2017, Markets by the Sea is A-tier. There’s acoustic music floating about, bouncy castles to keep the sprogs busy, and food trucks lining up to keep your belly full while fams unwind in shady nooks.
Offerings lean more on artisanal products and artsy craft, but you can expect some vendors peddling greens, too. Prices can be a smidge higher than usual though, so bring your coin.
Tip: If you want to apply as a vendor, the best option is to email [email protected].
Gosnells Railway Markets
From alvinlie21
Address: 5 Fremantle Rd, Gosnells
Contact Details: +61 420 656 854
Website
Small but mighty, the Gosnells Railway Markets knows how to pull a crowd. Sure, it’s no picnic hotspot, but the 30 stalls dishing out fresh produce, retail finds, and snacks make it worth the drive.
One of its brightest highlights is De Honey’s chicken, lamb, and beef satay. These skewers’ noteworthy feature is the infusion of 100% Aussie honey, an addition that made the smoky-charred bites a contender for Perth’s best satay.
Tip: Operating hours differ by section, but generally, they’re open from Thursday to Sunday. The fruit and veg section runs from 9 am to 4:30 pm, the food hall from 9 am to 8:30 pm, and the retail market from 9 am to 5 pm.
Bassendean Markets
From bassendean_markets
Address: Bic Reserve, Bassendean
Contact Details: +61 466 388 451
Operating Hours: Sat to Sun – 24 hours
Facebook
For artsy types like us, the Bassendean Markets is a little slice of paradise. The 100-plus stalls here showcase WA handcrafted goodies ranging from tiki masks and jewellery to painted bags and even cosy dog sweaters.
Foodies won’t starve either. Pizza, crepes, and juices are all on deck, perfect for having picnics with live music as the backdrop.
To top it off, there are free activities for both kids and adults such as workshops and fitness exercises.
Tip: The schedule can change depending on the weather. If you’re unsure, shoot them a DM on Facebook, particularly during rainy months.
