The Love Story Wedding Photography is one of my best recommendations thanks to its awesome job at my best friend’s wedding. It’s owned and operated by Anthea Kirkman, a photographer who has years of experience under her belt.

She has been a photographer for 15 years, with seven of those years focused on capturing special moments at small weddings. Her long years of experience allowed her to develop her own unique style of photography.

Kirkman specialises in providing a minimalist style with the goal of making her photos as natural as possible. My friend told me that her shots almost look like they were “caught in the moment” and not staged.

She also told me that Kirkman was an awesome person to work with. She listened to my friend’s requests, and she tried to make my friend and her husband comfortable during shoots.

Personally, what I really respect about Kirkman is her transparent pricing. All of her services have no additional or hidden fees whatsoever.

You’ll only pay for the prices she has listed on her website. Nothing less, nothing more.

However, a small downside to The Love Story Wedding Photography is its small size. Kirkman works on her own, and thus her services are better suited for small weddings only.

Another downside I can say about this studio is its lack of a physical address. This means that it’s hard to talk with Kirkman face-to-face if you want to enquire about her portfolio and services.

Dennis Tan Creative is led by award-winning photographer Dennis Tan. He is the recipient of several awards, including Australia’s Top 4 Emerging Wedding Photographers 2020.

Dennis Tan and his team of photographers are great if you prefer unobtrusive and candid shots. He can capture photos of you and your spouse wonderfully without relying on staged and acted scenes.

He is praised by many of his clients for his friendliness and professionalism. Many told me that he was a very fun guy to interact with, and he’s amenable to moving schedules without any issues.

One customer shared with me that Tan stayed beyond his paid time just to capture additional photos of their wedding.

Another thing that I appreciate about Dennis Tan Creative is their deep knowledge of Perth itself. They are a great option for those new to the city because these guys know all the best spots in Perth for a wedding shoot.

However, a small downside to this business is that it’s hard to contact them on weekends. Tan advises potential clients to contact him on weekdays because his busy schedule makes it hard for him to answer calls on weekends.

Another downside to Dennis Tan Creative is its lack of a physical address. The reliable ways to contact this studio are through the phone or email.

James Sparrow Perth Photographer is another solid pick for your wedding photography needs. This studio specialises in providing both photos and videos for your wedding.

You won’t need to find a separate videographer for your wedding because James Sparrow Perth Photographer has that covered. It’s easy to bundle their videography service with their wedding photography service thanks to their custom packages.

I am pleased to say that Sparrow offers his services without any hidden or additional fees. All of the prices he listed on his website are final unless you go for a custom service package.

A lot of his customers told me that Sparrow was an easy guy to work with. He’s so friendly and accommodating that even those who are camera-shy have no trouble working with him.

It’s also a good thing that Sparrow is amenable to working in wedding venues outside of Perth. He told me that he has already taken several jobs in the past in other towns in Western Australia.

However, a downside to James Sparrow Perth Photographer is its high deposit fee. Clients are required to pay 50% of the total cost upfront before they are given a reservation.

Another downside to this studio is its slow response rate. It will take them days before they can send a reply to enquiries sent to their Facebook and email.

Everlast Creative is a wedding photographer that also provides its own videography services. You can rely on them to provide you with wedding photos and videos that have a natural look to them.

Their photographers prioritise candid shots to encapsulate the best moments during your wedding. One customer described the photography style of Everlast Creative “as if they were our own family members.”

Another neat perk I’d like to add about this business is its free wedding planner app. They made their own program that’ll help you plan your wedding with features like seating arrangements and an itinerary.

It’s also a good thing that Everlast Creative supports many payment options for their services. They accept cash, credit cards, and PayPal.

They even have the option to divide your total bill into smaller instalments so that you can pay for their services more manageably.

However, a downside to Everlast Creatives is its lack of a cellphone or landline number. All enquiries sent to them must be sent through their website or their email address.

Another downside to this studio is its slightly higher prices. 

Their cheapest photography package starts at $3,099. Their photography and videography packages start at $5,899.

JASON TEY STUDIOS is an award-winning team of wedding photographers, videographers, and makeup artists. One of the biggest awards they’ve won is International Wedding Photographer of the Year.

This studio provides both wedding photos and videos. A lot of their work is done with a focus on telling a story rather than just capturing specific moments during a wedding.

Most of their portfolio consists of couples having their photos taken at the most gorgeous locations around Perth. Their style of photography is different from that of most photographers who only use candid shots.

Aside from wedding photography, JASON TEY STUDIOS also has pre-wedding photo shoot services. Many clients love this service thanks to the efforts of this studio’s extremely skilled staff members.

Clients also appreciate the services of this studio’s makeup artist, Yuko. They told me that her skills were essential in helping them achieve the perfect look for their photos.

Tey is also praised for his excellent photography skills. Clients described him as a friendly and fun person to be with.

However, it’s unfortunate that there was a single case where JASON TEY STUDIOS failed to meet their clients’ expectations. The client told me that the wedding video they got was shaky and had poor audio quality.

Another downside to this studio is its lack of a proper price list on its website. You’ll need to contact them first by phone or email to learn more about the prices of their services.
