Victoria Park, or Vic Park for short, is pure Perth energy. Framed by Federation and Post-War heritage buildings, contemporary establishments, and the ever-picturesque Swan River, it oozes with the magic of the old, the new, and the natural.
The same vibe pulses throughout the suburb’s every nook and cranny. You can taste it on the strip of old-world restos with generational recipes, see it on the universe-spanning gaming meccas, and sense it on the grassy stretches by the river.
And what better way to take it all than with a guide made by those who’ve lived it?
Where is Victoria Park?

Victoria Park, one of Perth’s southeast, inner suburbs, is about 2.4 km (5 mins) from the city’s business district. It’s surrounded by the Armadale railway line (northeast), the Swan River (northwest), and Miller, Kent, and Berwick Streets (southwest).
What is the main street in Victoria Park?
One of the Southern Hemisphere’s longest strips, Victoria Park’s Albany Highway is the suburb’s main street. Locals and tourists go here for a day of restaurant-hopping, picnics, sports, gaming, and retail therapy.
How to Get There
Closest Train Station: You’ll reach Victoria Park by boarding Transperth’s Armadale Line, typically departing every 10 minutes. The ride will take you to Vic Park Train Station in about 10 minutes, too.
Closest Bus Stop: The closest bus stop is the Causeway Bus Station, which you’ll reach by boarding the following Transperth lines 220, 38, and 960.

Things to Do in Victoria Park
Paint and sip your heart out at Pinot & Picasso
From pinotandpicassoperthcbd
Address: 1/660 Albany Hwy
Operating Hours:
- Fri to Sat – 7 pm to 10 pm
- Sun – 2 pm to 5 pm
Pinot & Picasso splashed more colours into our escapade. The relaxed, open atmosphere was pure Vic Park, and the sharp coaches made painting feel like second nature.
The cocktails didn’t hurt either, though you can stick to prosecco, wine, or beer if you fancy. As for what to paint, we kept it simple with a bubbly-themed session, but there are also other options, from flamingos to floral pieces.
Sweat it out or relax at McCallum Park
From salti_adventures
Address: Garland St
Contact Details: +61 8 9311 8111
Operating Hours: Daily – 24 hours
Whenever we’re torn between chilling out or going full tilt, McCallum Park, perched along the Swan River Foreshore, is the answer. It’s Vic Park’s playground for all things stress-relieving—BBQs, cycling, and picnicking included.
Our last trip started with physical activities, hitting the skate park’s bowls and ramps after nailing shots on the basketball court.
After the action, we went low-key with a river stroll and watched the sky shift from a golden hour panorama to a scene of city lights and stars.

We’ve tried plenty of VR hubs, but VR-Arrival flipped the script entirely. Thanks to their room-scale motion tracking and up-to-date gear like the HTC Vive Pro, the realism and immersion we felt were next-level.
The variety kept us hooked too, particularly the virtual escape rooms on ancient pyramid puzzles and Alice’s rabbit holes. Plus, the 10+ free-choice options meant one minute we were zombie hunters, and the next, space explorers.

Bathed in neon glow and pumped by retro tunes, The Palace Arcade scratched our itch for old-school gaming. The team spent hours smashing high scores on classics like Space Invaders and Donkey Kong, reliving the 80s and 90s game after game.
Even the prices were retro-friendly, with $1–$2 per game or $10 for unlimited action midweek. And yes, that covers pinball machine access, too!

Social Manna
From social.manna
Address: 253 Albany Hwy
Contact Details: +61 491 260 941
Operating Hours: Daily – 6:30 am to 2 pm
Pricing: $$
Bits of fine dining and unruffled cafe vibes made our morning segway to Social Manna unforgettable. The fresh aroma of in-house baked sourdough, muffins, and waffles made it even better.
What secured our return trips, though, was the oat and rice porridge arancini—tart, earthy, and just the right level of sweetness. The Turkish eggs were close, with smoky-spiced poached eggs and lamb kofte—all piled onto pillowy bread.
Good Fortune Roast Duck House
From goodfortuneroastduckhouse
Address: 884 Albany Hwy
Contact Details: +61 8 9472 8236
Operating Hours: Mon, Wed to Sun – 10:30 am to 9 pm
Pricing: $$
Aesthetically humble yet oozing with authentic Cantonese flavours, Good Fortune Roast Duck House is one of Perth’s finest.
Naturally, we didn’t resist the boneless Peking duck, which proved its legendary status from the first bite. Beneath that golden, crisp skin, juicy meat popped with savoury-sweet overtones courtesy of hoisin, five-spice, and expert roasting.
Modus Coffee
From modus.coffee
Address: Vic Quarter, 5/660 Albany Hwy
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 6:30 am to 2 pm
- Sat to Sun – 7 am to 2 pm
Pricing: $
Between their sustainable ethos, sunny disposition (literal and figurative), and primo coffee, Modus certainly knows how to make a cafe sensational. Yet, the pastries are what reel in groups.
Take their cannelés: caramelised to a golden hue, custardy in the middle, and with a crackle that’ll make your ears perk up.
Pachi Pachi
From pachipachiperth
Address: 608 Albany Hwy

Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 6 pm to 11 pm
- Fri to Sat – 6 pm to 12 am
- Sun – 6 pm to 11 pm
Pricing: $$
If you thought Asian food couldn’t get any better, Pachi Pachi is here to prove you wrong with their classic and modern flavours.
For instance, the crowd-fave mee goreng has that sweet, umami, and spicy profile everybody loves. Then there’s the Angry Bird Wings—same flavour profile but can be dialled up to ‘don’t forget your water bottle’ levels of heat.
The Prophet Lebanese Cafe
From theprophetcafe
Address: 907A Albany Hwy
Contact Details: +61 8 9361 1101
Operating Hours:
- Mon – 5 pm to 9 pm
- Tue to Sun – 12 pm to 3 pm, 5 pm to 9 pm
Pricing: $$
The Prophet’s cult-like following is no joke, and honestly, we can’t blame their patrons. This cafe’s earthy-toned space and bold Lebanese flavours have been first-rate since 2001.
One downside: the menu is so extensive you’ll have a hard time picking what to eat. The silver lining is you can always go for the banquet—think smoked shish kebabs, tangy chicken skewers, and pastries stuffed with spiced meat or cheese.
