Pros

  • Rental van delivered straight to you
  • Competitive prices
  • Free 24/7 roadside assistance

Cons

  • Limited van model selection
  • Messy booking system

Burswood Car Rentals is a good pick for me when renting a van or any other car. Its competitive prices and customer-friendly services are what make this van rental company one of the best for me.

For starters, the prices of this van rental company are lower than what most other van rentals in Perth will ask you. Their prices are also discounted during the winter season!

Burswood Car Rentals also offers a free delivery service for their rental cars. Their drivers can deliver your van straight to your doorstep for free as long as your location is within a 20-kilometre radius of their depot.

I always take advantage of this service whenever I need to rent a van from them.

Another great thing I love about this van rental company is its 24/7 roadside assistance service. This service is free, and it’s always available should your rental van unexpectedly break down in the middle of the road.

However, a thing I don’t like about Burswood Car Rentals is its limited van selection. Their rental van fleet is composed only of Toyota Taragos. Don’t get me wrong, the Tarago is a good van, but I still prefer to have some other options available.

Another downside to this van rental company is its messy booking system.

Some of my friends complained that the online booking service was a hassle to use. The system allowed them to book cars that weren’t even available in the first place, wasting their time as the bookings were cancelled a few hours later.

Pros

  • Great selection of vans for moving stuff
  • Vans equipped with moving tools
  • 24/7 roadside assistance service

Cons

  • No passenger vans offered
  • Above-average prices

RentWA is my choice whenever I or someone I know needs a rental van for moving heavy loads. This van rental company is also a great choice for small business owners in need of easy logistical solutions.

The best thing about this company is its impressive van fleet. You can rent different sizes of vans from RentWA, from their smaller 1-tonne vans to huge C-class moving vans.

To make moving heavy stuff easier for their customers, their vans can be equipped with moving tools like fridge trolleys and ramps. These tools can be rented from them for a small additional fee.

The fridge trolley was a big help for me when I had to assist one of my friends in getting her new refrigerator to her home. The van I rented from RentWA was in excellent condition, and I had no trouble transporting her fridge to her house.

This van rental company knows that breakdowns or malfunctions are still a possibility, even on a well-maintained van.

For this reason, RentWA is offering a 24/7 roadside assistance service to its customers. Simply call their emergency hotline, and they’ll send a mechanic to your location to resolve the issue.

However, a downside to RentWA is that it has no passenger vans available for rent. You’ll need to look for other options if you want to rent a van for travelling with your friends and family.

Another downside to this company is its above-average prices. They charge a bit more for their rental vans compared to other van rental companies in Perth.

Pros

  • Competitive prices
  • Wide selection of rentals available
  • Many branches in Perth
  • 24/7 roadside assistance

Cons

  • 20% surcharge on peak seasons
  • Issues with customer service

Northside Rentals is one of my favourite options for renting passenger vans. It has a great selection of rental vans and other cars, which you can pick up from its many branches in Perth.

What makes this rental company a good choice is its availability. Its branches in Welshpool, Broome, Busselton, Wedgefield, and Greenwood are open every day of the week.

Their branches have a wide selection of rental vehicles, from your typical sedan to huge mining trucks. My favourite van to rent from Northside Rentals is its Toyota Hiace, thanks to the van’s roomy interior.

The best thing about this van rental company is its competitive pricing. Their Toyota Hiace is only priced at $105 per day, and this price already includes the van’s standard damage coverage.

I am happy to report that Northside Rental’s 24/7 has its own roadside assistance service. Give them a call should your van experience any issues during your travels.

If the Toyota Hiace isn’t what you’re looking for, they also offer the Kia Grand Carnival and the Volkswagen Multivan as rental options.

While Northside Rental’s prices are reasonable most of the time, I don’t like the fact that they charge a hefty 20% surcharge during peak seasons. This pricey surcharge is also in effect on Western Australia’s public holidays, which is a bummer.

Another downside to this van rental company is its rude customer service. Some customers told me that they experienced rude and dismissive remarks from the staff in many of Northside Rental’s branches.

Pros

  • Regularly offers discounts and deals
  • Has its own app for faster booking process
  • Many branches in Perth
  • High-quality and well-maintained rental vans

Cons

  • Strict penalties for delayed returns
  • Slow customer service

Avis Car & Truck Rental is a van rental I recommend for its hassle-free booking system and reasonable prices. This company is one of the easiest to work with thanks to its app and many branches in Perth.

This van rental company has more than 20 branches in the city. All of these branches can help you rent any of their vehicles, so you don’t need to visit a specific branch just to rent the van you want.

However, you can skip having to wait in line by downloading their Avis App.

This app was a huge help for my friend, as it was super easy to use. He told me that aside from setting up a reservation, you can also extend your rental through the app.

I think this app will be a really useful tool for Perth tourists. This app will allow you to rent a van immediately before leaving the airport, and you can pick up your van at their nearby depot.

Another good thing about Avis Car & Truck Rental are its generous deals and special discounts. Their website regularly offers deals, like a $100 discount when you rent a full-size van.

Speaking of vans, I am pleased to say that their rental vans are well-maintained and are always kept clean. The rental van my friend got for our countryside trip was super comfortable to ride on, and it even has parking sensors and cameras included.

However, a downside to Avis Car & Truck Rental is its strict policy when it comes to delayed returns. Expect to pay some hefty fines if you accidentally return your rental van later than the agreed-upon time.

Another downside to this company is its slow customer service. Some customers told me that the staff were slow to entertain them with their questions and concerns, both on the phone and face-to-face.

Pros

  • Only offers the latest van models
  • Competitive rates
  • Wide range of vans available
  • Three branches in Perth

Cons

  • Issues with customer service
  • Long rental process

Aries Car Rental is my favourite van rental company if we’re going to talk about variety. This company offers some of the widest range of rental vans I’ve seen in Perth, and they come at great prices!

They offer vans with varying passenger capacities, including 7-seaters, 9-seaters, and huge 12-seaters. A lot of their vans are from reputable car makers like Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Toyota, and more.

The best thing about Aries Car Rental is that it only rents out the latest van models available. A staff member told me that all of their rental vehicles are regularly updated every 18 to 24 months.

This policy is really good, especially when you consider this van rental company’s competitive prices. Most of their prices are on par with what most companies in Perth will ask from you, despite only offering newer van models.

Another thing I love about Aries Car Rental is its availability. It has three branches in Perth, which you’ll find at the Perth CBD, the Perth Airport, and Cockburn.

One of my colleagues is an avid customer. He’s very strict when it comes to a rental vehicle’s performance, which is why he highly appreciates Aries Car Rental’s “only the latest van models” policy.

However, a downside to Aries Car Rental is its customer service. Some customers told me that some of the staff members were rude and dismissive when asked some simple questions.

Another downside to this van rental company is its long and tedious rental process. My colleague told me that renting a van from Aries Car Rental can take you up to an hour due to the lengthy paperwork you’re required to fill out.
