We sought help from Keystone Therapy to strengthen our marriage, and their brain-based therapy immediately stood out. The psychotherapist’s person-centered approach educated and empowered us, helping us grow in self-awareness and emotional healing.
Additionally, we appreciated how Keystone Therapy integrates Lifestyle Mental Health into their sessions. The holistic approach, which includes advice on exercise, diet, sleep, and mindfulness, has made managing our mental health more achievable and sustainable.
Moreover, the clinic’s focus on evidence-based techniques helped us address deeper issues like anxiety and depression. Each session promoted resilience, making it easier for us to navigate our relationship’s challenges.
Keystone’s commitment to innovative mental health approaches is evident in their research-driven methods. They gave us valuable insights into emotional regulation and the impact of habits like substance use on brain function, which added depth to our therapy.
Furthermore, their Telehealth services were incredibly convenient, especially during COVID. The virtual sessions were just as effective as in-person therapy, with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism maintained throughout.
Lastly, the psychotherapist’s tailored approach allowed us to progress at our own pace, fostering emotional well-being and greater connection. We left each session feeling supported, more resilient, and equipped to handle future challenges.

Clients who have come from very difficult situations found that working with Keith helped them gain clarity and a new perspective on their issues.
Not only that, but Keith also offers support for those who are trying to move into a new phase in their lives. Some clients may be coming from breakups or are empty nesters trying to find their identity again.

Pros
- Registered psychologists and counselors
- Offers online consultations
Cons
- Limited opening hours
- Reported to be unable to help some cases
Life Focus are specialists in couples counseling who also offer individual counseling and life coaching. Patricia and Donatus Michalka, who are a married couple, are both licensed psychologists and counselors in these specific fields.
Their focus is to provide professional and effective counseling services to help couples get the love they want and keep the one they have.
Clients can opt to work with either Patricia or Donatus. They have in-person sessions and also offer sessions over Skype or Zoom.
Women in midlife may find it helpful to work with Patricia, as she offers a holistic approach to common and relevant issues.
We love that both experts are praised for their great listening skills and insightful advice. They have helped clients look deep into themselves and their relationships.
One thing clients note is that you don’t have to wait for a crisis to seek marriage counseling. Life Focus has helped couples turn their relationship from good to great.
Although their expertise is highly regarded, you might struggle to book a schedule with them, as Life Focus is only open Tuesdays to Thursdays.
There were cases where the couple had to resort to divorce or did not find their services helpful. The effectiveness of marriage counseling also depends on whether your relationship counselor is the right fit for you, so make sure to explore your options first.

Cons

We think she’s a great support and guidance for when you’re going through a relationship breakdown.
She offers compassion and support through the experience of emotional upset, anxiety, confusion, difficulties with relationships or marriage breakdown, and other problems that one may face in life.
We like how she can guide anyone through it and help them process everything.
She will be there to help you understand, maintain, and mend your relationships with yourself and others.
She’s been training for her profession since 2007 and has had experience counselling many people. Besides her training, her personal experiences also helps her provide sound advice.
We like how convenient it is that she has both face-to-face and online/phone appointments available. The downside though is that she only provides her services on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
