Pros
- Open most days of the week
- 15+ years of experience
- Helps treat many disorders
- Uses innovative brain scans
Cons
- Pricier than some clinics
With more than 15 years of experience, Perth Brain Centre is among the most established mental health clinics in Perth on our list.
They offer state-of-the-art therapies, and we like that this clinic has been helping patients over 3 years old with numerous problems.
This includes ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, autism, chronic pain, migraines, depression, memory problems, and the like.
But what’s most intriguing for us about the clinic’s methods is that their medical professionals neither provide a traditional diagnostic service nor offer treatments such as medication or talk-based therapies.
Instead, they use a completely different strategy. They employ specialised brain scans, known as QEEG, to better understand how the patient’s brain works.
Utilising the brain’s inherent capacity for change, known as neuroplasticity, their method can be used to guide fully tailored, evidence-based, and effective treatments that aid in ‘re-training’ or ‘re-wiring’ the brain.
In our opinion, this could be a better option for patients who aren’t comfortable taking drugs or going through overwhelming therapies. Of course, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so we recommend discussing the process at length with their professionals.
Nevertheless, note that their methods don’t give instant results and require lots of patience. Some of their previous patients told us they thought the fees here were a bit pricey too.
But if you’re still interested, Perth Brain Centre is conveniently available 6 days a week, except on Sundays.

Pros
- Online and onsite consultations
- Flexible scheduling
- Upfront with costs
- With 7 practitioners
Cons
- Unresponsive at times
Lifepoint Clinic is one of our top picks for your next checkup at a mental health clinic in Perth. They mostly cater to patients with concerns about anxiety, depression, and trauma.
We appreciate that this clinic offers patients the option of face-to-face or telehealth sessions, as well as appointments for any weekday.
Not only that, but we feel their staff is considerate enough to ask patients how much time the latter requires for cancellation notices. For example, the patient may prefer 2 hours or 1 month’s notice for cancellations to avoid any conflicts at work.
Now and then, this clinic also opens up waitlists for their psychiatrists. Just make sure to check online beforehand since this isn’t always available.
Moreover, we appreciate how transparent they are with their costs. You can view all of their fees on their website, including the Medicare rebates for eligible patients.
Should you want to give them a try, Lifepoint Clinic has 7 practitioners to accommodate both kids and adults. They’re open on weekdays and half days on Saturdays.
Do note that there are some instances when they reply late due to the many patients they treat.

Pros
- With international expertise
- Experienced working with athletes
- Subsidised telehealth for rural or remote areas
- Can be your lifelong mediator
Cons
- Can be in demand
- Occasional clerical errors
If you need psychiatry services for adult ADHD, we think Qualia Mental Health is a good Perth mental health clinic to consider for your long-term care.
We commend the fact that their consultant psychiatrist, Dr Raj Tanna, combines local and international expertise in his practise. It’s also incredible for us that he has expertise in working with elite athletes to realise their goals, if this applies to you.
For his services, we also like that Dr Tanna provides in-person and online consultations to minimise the friction of seeking therapy.
What’s more, we love that if you live in a rural or remote area, his telehealth appointments are subsidised too! This reduces out-of-pocket expenses that may also hinder some people from getting help.
Just keep in mind that Qualia Mental Health requires completion of the adult self-report scale (ASRS) to assess your signs and symptoms. This must be done before seeing Dr Tanna for adult ADHD.
And due to high demand at times, his team may not be able to accommodate everyone or reach them.
Some previous patients also told us about some administrative lapses they encountered. While this is a rare concern, we recommend double checking any document handed to you before leaving the clinic.

Pros
- Offers many modern therapies
- Accommodates most schedules
- Provides parenting consultations
- Transparent with costs
Cons
- Few parking slots
- Limited payment options
East Perth Therapy is another one of our top mental health clinics in Perth due to its many contemporary psychological therapies.
This clinic provides cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), schema therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), crisis management, progressive muscle relaxation, and ADHD coaching.
But what we appreciate the most about the clinic is that its therapist, Nicola Deeney, offers unique services tailored to meet the individual needs of people with busy lifestyles.
This means she caters to weekend and out-of-office hours appointments, telehealth consults, longer session times, and regular (and protected) weekly timeslots for her clients.
And though this clinic’s services only cater to ages 16 and above, we like that Deeney can also assist younger parents with consultations on how to build parenting skills.
Just note that while we appreciate that her fees are consistent per session, she only accepts cards and contactless payment methods.
Additionally, East Perth Therapy only offers a few parking spaces if you prefer onsite consultations. Alternatively, we advise you to park at Wilson Parking for a fee nearby.

Pros
- Accessible in several Perth areas
- Ideal for Christians seeking therapy
- Individual and group sessions
- With practitioners of various specialisations
Cons
- Closed 3 times a week
Connections Healthcare Centre is one of the most well-rounded mental health clinics in Perth, which we recommend.
Right off the bat, we love that they offer integrated services that look after patients in many aspects. This involves being cared for mentally, emotionally, physically, and even spiritually if you’re a Christian.
On that note, we understand that some people may be uncomfortable visiting a clinic with all of its staff being practising Christians. So, we think it’s best to get this information out to you right away.
Additionally, we love that this clinic has practitioners of various specialties like psychologists and counsellors, integrated general practitioners (GPs), nutritionists, and naturopaths. They’ll have an occupational therapist and physiotherapist soon too!
In our opinion, it’s also handy that they offer counselling for all ages, whether this is for individuals, families, or groups wanting to seek therapy.
Nonetheless, we feel it’s best to plan your visit with Connections Healthcare Centre in advance since they’re available only 4 times a week. Conveniently, online counselling and phone consultations are also offered here.
If you want to try out their services, this clinic has several locations accessible across Perth. You can find them in Fremantle, South Perth, and Dianella, so we reckon it’s easy to locate them.
