Top 5 Used Car Dealers in Perth
How We Picked Used Car Shops in Perth
Product Range
Just because you’re looking for a used car doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a wide range of options. Thus, we made sure to choose dealers who offer different makes and models.
Additional Services
You may be looking to sell your car, buy accessories, or have some repairs done, so we rated these dealers’ additional services too.
Customer Service
Great customer service can help you choose the best car for you, and we made sure to choose dealers that aren’t too pushy on the sales talk.
Payment Options
Cars don’t come cheap, and it’s still best to have multiple financing options available should you need them.

Pros
- Can deliver the car to your doorstep
- Can buy, trade, and sell cars
- Large inventory
- Wide price range
Cons
- Some misleading details on cars
- Some faulty cars
- Poor post-sales customer service
With over 2,000 cars in their inventory, we have no doubt you’ll find the right car for you in Westside Auto Wholesale.
They carry over 30 makes, with multiple models from each make. They have popular brands such as Toyota, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi, but they also carry luxury cars from Audi, Mercedes Benz, and even Tesla!
Another advantage they have is that you can choose to shop directly from their website without visiting their location and they can deliver the car straight to your doorstep.
This, however, is not something we recommend, as it is still better to be able to see the car you’re interested in and take it for a test drive.
We also encourage you to be thorough about the car you plan to buy, as some customers complained that they were given misleading details about the car they eventually purchased.
One example of this was a customer being told the car only had one prior owner, but it turned out the prior owner was a car hire company.
Some have also complained that the details of their financing plans were unclear, and they ended up having to pay more interest than they initially signed up for.
Unfortunately, we’ve discovered that they have poor after-sales customer service and often don’t respond to the customers once the car has already been purchased. So unless you’re sure that your car is good to go, other options may be better.

Pros
- Inventory available online
- Patient and helpful salespeople
- No pushy sales
- Smooth transaction
Cons
- Minor complaints of faulty cars
- Limited inventory
If excellent customer service and honest salespeople are important factors to you, then we can highly recommend going to AutoTribe.
We take honesty seriously, and that’s precisely what you’ll get should you shop here. We, and their customers alike, are appreciative of their honest salespeople who don’t push sales but instead genuinely want to help you find the best car for you.
You can also do your prior research by going on their website, and each car they have in their inventory has all the necessary details you’ll need, from mileage, engine size, transmission, and type of fuel.
Almost every customer we’ve spoken to commended how smooth the transaction was when they came to purchase their car, but we still suggest that you set a prior appointment with them to ensure you won’t be rushed as you make your choice.
You can also choose to sell your car with them, and the transaction is equally as smooth. You can even get a free quote by filling up their online form with relevant details of your car.
Our only gripe with them is that they don’t have as large of an inventory compared to other dealers on this list. So if you’re looking for a specific make and model, we suggest checking their website first.
There were also minor complaints of faulty cars, but we were impressed with how they took care of this concern. They fixed the faulty parts with no added fees to the customer, which shows us their dedication to customer satisfaction.

Pros
- Has over 30 makes
- Offers different warranties
- Has 4 different showrooms
- Inventory available online
Cons
- Some complaints on their salespeople
- Instances of miscommunication
John Hughes is perhaps one of the most recognisable names when it comes to car dealerships, and that’s because they’ve been able to build a reputation of reliability with customers through the years.
With four showrooms in Western Australia, we have no doubt that at least one of them will have the car you want. However, that doesn’t mean you have to go to all showrooms to find it!
You can browse their full inventory on their site, and each vehicle comes with all the relevant information including which showroom it is in. But if you’d like to go to the dealership directly, this Victoria Park location has the most cars available.
We appreciate how they take their listings to the next level by providing all the features of the car, and they even have a fuel calculator for the specific car with an estimated rate for your chosen financing plan!
They offer multiple warranties for vehicles you’ll purchase from them, and you can decide the terms you prefer, which is usually a choice between 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months depending on the specific vehicle.
The complaints we heard about were about specific salespeople who customers claimed were unhelpful and sometimes rude.
A few customers also complained that their sales representative made false promises about the vehicle, which led to disappointment on the customer’s end.
There were also some instances of miscommunication, especially regarding the terms of the car’s warranty, so we advise you to read your contract thoroughly before signing it.
4. Youngs WA

Makes: Fiat, Ford, Holden, Hyundai, Isuzu, Jeep, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan

Pros
- Wide inventory
- Offers multiple warranty options
- Individual listings have detailed photos of cars
- Also services cars
Cons
- Complaints on quality of repairs
- Instances of miscommunication
Youngs WA is both a used car dealership and a car servicing and repair centre. They can service and repair all cars, regardless of whether you bought the vehicle from them or not.
They have a pretty wide product range with 25 makes available and their whole inventory available online.
What we like best about how they list their cars online is that outside of the car’s relevant information and price, they also have detailed photos of the car’s exterior and interior, including the tyres!
This makes it easier for you to examine all parts of the car, even before visiting them in person.
They have in-house financing options, and you can choose which one will work best for you.
Additionally, each car listing also has a fee calculator which you can use to estimate your payment plan, complete with the loan term and amount, interest rate, deposit and payment frequency.
This would hopefully make your experience of visiting them in-store much easier, as we have heard multiple instances of miscommunication between customers and salespeople.
One customer reported that they were promised to get a full tank of gas upon purchase, but this wasn’t met. Once they brought up this complaint and asked for compensation, they weren’t given any but instead were told it wasn’t in the terms.
There are, however, more complaints regarding the quality of their car repairs and services, which leads us to the conclusion that we can only recommend that you buy cars from them but not choose them for repairs.
5. Gardner Autos

Car types: Hatch, sedan, utility, convertible, fastback, van, SUV, cab chassis

Pros
- Has 28 makes
- Authorised Isuzu UTE, Suzuki and GMSV Dealer
- Sells both new and used cars
- Can deliver car to your doorstep
Cons
- Poor after-sales customer service
- Unmet promises to customers
Gardner Autos is the only dealership on this list that sells both new and used cars. This makes them a perfect pick if you’re on the fence between buying a new or used car.
Fortunately, they have more used cars in their inventory than new ones, and the new ones are usually the makes of which they’re the authorised dealer.
You can browse their whole catalogue on their website, and each listing comes with the car’s relevant details as well as the option to make an offer on said car or book a test drive for it.
They can also buy your car or have it traded in, and they buy all cars regardless of make, model, and age. You can even have the car picked up from your location, saving you from the visit to their location.
Other than pickup, they can also deliver your chosen car to your doorstep, especially if this requires some maintenance checks or cleanups before they hand it over to you.
We highly encourage you to come to a clear agreement with the salesperson as to what to expect, as this has led to some unmet promises.
For instance, one customer was told that their car would be thoroughly cleaned before it would be delivered to their place, but unfortunately, the car still had spots that needed cleaning.
Unfortunately, reports on their after-sales customer service have been poor, with many claiming that the good customer service did not continue after the car had already been bought.
