Pros
- Great customer service
- Smooth process with a focus on minimizing discomfort
Cons
- Weekends only by appointment
- Certain health funds have reduced rebates
Joondalup City Dental has great customer service from the reception to the actual dentists on call. The main draw for us is their professional yet friendly staff that makes the whole experience much more comfortable.
We find that they cater to each concern and ensure that the entire process is pretty smooth. We also like how the environment is very clean and simple yet functional.
From what we’ve seen, their experience in wisdom tooth removal really shines through. They have a good history of minimizing pain and risk as much as possible.
Everyone is kind, professional, and effective. We especially like how good they are with appointment times, and they display a lot of empathy for patients of different ages.
Their aftercare is also commendable, with competitive prices really bringing everything full circle. We do wish they accepted weekend walk-ins, but the booking process is smooth enough.
We suggest contacting them via call if you have an urgent concern as they respond more quickly that way. Overall, it’s a solid clinic worth visiting if you need wisdom tooth removal in Perth.

Pros
- Very holistic in terms of overall dental health
- Great environment
Cons
- Closed on Sundays
- Emergency bookings can fill up quickly
Bayview Dental is one of the more convenient clinics to visit in terms of location. It is easily accessible by public transport and has a lot of convenient parking.
We also find that the staff is very good with families, because we see a lot of loyal clients with members of every age. We find the way they speak is easy to understand and calming, whether you’re a child or a senior.
In our experience, everyone was warm and easy to talk to. We asked a lot of questions and they were able to answer them with ease and experience.
From the way they patiently answer every question to how often they reassured us about nerves and concerns, we really appreciated how they actively made efforts to keep us relaxed. We didn’t get any airs of annoyance or judgement, and they were very understanding.
They accept both emergency removal and general wisdom tooth removal. We like that they have multiple options, like general anesthesia, sedation, and full sleep dentistry.
The actual interiors are also nice since the atmosphere doesn’t feel too cold or medical. We feel that this is a good point for those who are already intimidated enough about going to the dentist.
They also have a lot of modern tech in their clinic, although this does come with some premium fees. Of course, they are very upfront with their fees too, which we appreciate.
In terms of the actual procedure, we find that they are able to do so in a largely pain-free and quick manner. This can be helpful if you’re worried about pain and swelling.
We also like that they’re very caring about your overall dental health and next steps moving forward. Finally, they have a solid number of payment options to fit most budgets or preferences.

Pros
- Very stringent with sanitation and appointments
- Very considerate of clients in consultation
Cons
- Will sometimes try to cram more procedures in
- Has a preference to work in-house rather than use referrals even for complicated cases
What stands out most about Simply Teeth for us is its aesthetic. The colour scheme and aesthetic are very warm and unique and make the place feel more welcoming.
The dentists here are considerate and skilled in terms of being able to clear most cases in a single visit. They are also very professional and direct, so they’ll let you know what the problem is right away and what solutions are needed.
We do appreciate that they are still warm, not coming off judgemental when they map out the issues at hand. This approach is likely due to their focus on single-visit dentistry.
Even the reception is very friendly and efficient. We had no trouble asking them things and bringing up any concerns, as they were able to accommodate these at once.
One more thing we like is how hygienic and strict they are with their facilities, processes, and outfits. They are also very careful with teeth and seem to really care about minimizing the number of visits needed.
We will note, though, that they will sometimes take on more complicated cases that are probably better handled in a different way.
To be exact, although all the dentists here are skilled, their single-visit approach means they have a tendency to take things on when they would otherwise require multiple visits.
We recommend being clear with all you need, as they will try to get the most done in one go. Because they are very receptive, it’s easy to express any concern or preference to do multiple sessions if you feel that it is needed.
As much as their approach minimises visits (and, in turn, costs,) it can sometimes result in a whole lot of work done in one visit. Even though it seems to be well-intentioned, we still find this problematic if you don’t want to get too much done.

Pros
- Highly responsive to concerns
- Very active with follow-ups
Cons
- Will sometimes close early if there are no more booked appointments
- Can be pushy about treatment plans
Perth Central Dental Centre is great with wisdom tooth removal. We like that they are efficient and they explain all the details at great length when you first come in for consultation.
They are also quick to respond to concerns, both in the moment and through email correspondence. We find it very reassuring, especially for more complicated cases.
We find that they are very thorough at checking the root cause of any infection or issue, and will be very upfront with costs and expected outcomes. They’re even willing to fit in patients without an appointment if the situation calls for it.
We also like that they actively follow up after the procedure. They explain all the details from start to finish, especially if you need to make any changes.
That said, we did notice that they can be a little pushy in terms of the best path forward. We recommend actively clarifying the procedure you want to pay for, so you don’t end up getting more services that will be charged to you.
They charge you for consultations alone, so it’s best to maximise the visit and be very clear with your budget and preferences. Sometimes, receptionists are also not completely aligned with what you have booked.
We recommend making sure everything is aligned if you get an appointment here.

Pros
- Quick, gentle extractions
- Free parking
Cons
- Some senior staff will overdo some things
- Has a tendency to upsell
LifeCare Dental offers both simple and surgical extraction, so they’re a great option if you need wisdom tooth removal in Perth. They also offer free three-hour parking as long as you present your parking ticket to reception to get validated.
What we like about them is how they approach extractions. They are very quick and gentle yet do not sacrifice the quality of the procedure.
We also appreciate how they answer questions, whether it’s about the extraction or the costs. If you’re concerned about the pain, we also find that they are good at handling different tolerances.
They do have a large staff, though, that can make things hit-or-miss. We recommend keeping that in mind and making sure you find a dentist that really aligns with how you want things done.
Some attending seniors can be pushy about upselling or expanding the services they offer to you. This can be a lot to handle if you don’t know what to expect.
We recommend being clear with what service you need, especially since things can get on the pricier side.
